A bit about me…
A long time ago, in a house far, far away a little girl was given a camera for her seventh birthday…
And that’s how it all began. Many years later I studied photography for my degree, came away with a First, and started work in the industry immediately.
Many years later, one of my proudest moments was unexpectedly winning ‘Welsh Photographer of The Year 2018′. I only went there for the food, and burst out crying like I’d won a BAFTA!
But awards aren’t everything.
To me, photography isn’t a ‘job’. I think that’s the wrong approach. It’s an art, but most of all it’s the closest thing to a time-machine we have. So I approach it with the respect I believe it deserves.
I will get to know you, your story, event, or celebration. I will distill and capture forever the very essence of what you need.
On a personal level, I’m an outdoorsy person. I love traveling, experiencing new cultures, and scuba diving. I’m a serious foodie – and I love a delicious, crisp glass of Sauvignon blanc! (Marlborough, New Zealand, in case you were wondering…)
I’m a keen environmentalist, too. To this end, I’ve stopped using leather products, and I am proud to say the business is almost plastic-free.
(I’m aware this sounds a bit like a ‘Tinder’ profile, so I’ll stop here!)
So to summarise I’ll simply say this: photography IS me.
